DAVID HIGGINSA native of Colorado, Mr. Higgins has a connection to the west. His film, Leave 'em Hangin' (a short western) won critical acclaim at several film festivals. After graduating UCD with a BFA in Film Production, David jumped into freelance production work, including indie features, commercials and shorts. Ready to make his own film, he began researching Doc Middleton, a real life Robin Hood. "I found a book about Doc Middleton and felt an immediate connection to the character. My family lives in the area where Doc operated, they're maverick ranchers. I like to work in the same spirit of independence when producing my films." Bringing back the western genre is a priority for the filmmaker, and The Outlaw Doc Middleton takes dead aim at doing just that.
